Richard's Pipit with Beetle
This small bird is a Richard’s Pipit who has just caught a large beetle.
We came across this bird whilst walking in Horton Plains, and he quite happily posed for some photographs.
Horton Plains is the only National Park in Sri Lanka where visitors are allowed to walk on their own, on the designated tracks. It supports the most extensive area for montane cloud forest in the country.
