Ruffila
Ruffila is an 18 month old female Orang-utan. She was orphaned as a young baby and is in a rehabilitation programme in Borneo. It is hoped that she can be reintroduced to the wild some day.
Young orphaned orangutans learn better if they have a buddy (another orangutan of a similar age) with them. Ruffila’s buddy was an orphaned male called Otto. He caused a lot of commotion and enjoyed swinging on branches, whilst Ruffila was very gentle and quite shy.
